While I was recording the drums in Florianópolis, I received a call from Serginho Herval, Roupa Nova’s drummer, inviting me to go to the cocktail party of their newly released DVD, named “Roupa Nova em Londres, uma viagem inesquecível” (Roupa Nova in London: an unforgettable trip).

He told me wonderful things about recording in the studio that got famous for recording many Beatles albums, called Abbey Road. Every time I meet Serginho, I am in awe of this guy’s life. He has been playing in Roupa Nova for 29 years, and I don’t even open my mouth in order to learn from his experience.

Numerous artists were there, and I was representing the working classes of Heavy Metal… I had a lot of fun and I can say the DVD is excellent in every aspect, specially the mixing. Open Parenthesis… It’s time to think: On the next day it was time to resume our recording, and we decided to create a new, mobile unit of Daufembach’s studio and finish all our recording in Tatuí.

There we are isolated from the rest of the world, and we can work whenever it pleases ourselves…

We are already recording the parts of guitars and bass. The guitar part is abnormally heavy! This time, it seems all things conspired with us: the guitarist, the guitar, the audio technician, the amp, the environment, the songs and, most importantly, the general need to outdo ourselves. I am quite surprised with the result; I was feeling very awkward to record a new CD after TROYC, but I********* (this can be the album’s title) exceeded our expectations.

On Monday Humberto starts recording the songs, and we are looking forward to show you little teasers of our new songs with him as leading vocal.

We’ll soon be back with more videos!
